ASSET CHECKLISTS
How many assets does your child already have?
The average young person we surveyed has 18 of the 40 assets
we identified. If you are a parent, you are probably wondering how many assets your
child already has. The checklists that follow can help you find out. *Note: These
checklists are not intended nor appropriate as scientific or accurate measurements of
developmental assets. They are provided here to give you a starting point for
discussion and awareness.
Instructions: 1) Print the checklists. 2) Complete the
checklists separately and have each person total his or her responses.
3) Afterward, meet with your child to discuss the responses
and perceptions.
