Nurturing Children & Youth
On my honor I will do my best to do my duty...
Scouting’s core values of faith in God, personal
integrity, and patriotism are conveyed to members. Boy Scouts pledge
to uphold
the Scout Oath and Law, which explicitly states the values to which
members aspire.
The Coronado Area Council of Boy Scouts of America
has a history of helping to shape and mold the values and character of
youth for the last 63 years. The movement continues to help strengthen
youth, families, and communities through comprehensive programs for its
members. Currently, there are 1,024 youth involved in the Salina
area and 283 adults who help mentor and lead them.
Your donation to Salina Area United Way helps to
fund your local BSA’s Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, and Venturing programs
that help the movement to address the critical elements of healthy youth
development.

| The scouting program puts boys into leadership roles
that help teach responsibility through troop offices. The troop is
mainly run by the boys with a minimum of adult interference, said C. A.
Ritter, Jr. the Scout Master of Troop 2. |
