Make Service a Family Affair


            Did you know that getting children started volunteering at an early age is a way to nurture an ongoing interest in service?  "Volunteering is an activity most likely to be cultivated in childhood and during the early teenage years."  Of teenagers who volunteer, 34 percent first started before the age of 12.  Another 25 percent started volunteering between the ages of 12 and 13.  Source: Volunteering and Giving Among Teenagers 12 to 17 Years of Age.
