Nurturing Children & Youth

Parents, do you want your family to be the best it can be?

CAPS  (Child Abuse Prevention Services) is a United Way participating agency that offers parenting classes for ALL parents on a wide variety of topics.  The goal is to help your family succeed!

CAPS instructor, Vicki Price, teaches Family Meetings as a positive way to bring about change and develop family plans to solve problems.  "In a family meeting, joys and concerns are shared by everyone, even very young children.  Kids are able to express themselves in a business type setting where they will be listened to and respected.  This empowers children and allows them to practice life skills such as listening, sharing,
planning, problem solving, decision making, respect, and consequences, said Price.

If you want to show commitment to your family and create a tradition of working together, call CAPS at 825-4493 for a class schedule.  Learning how to conduct a family meeting could change your life, so call TODAY!

Thanks to United Way funds,
all CAPS Parenting classes are free of charge,
childcare is provided, and snacks are served.
